Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

We encourage expectant mothers or single mothers with children aged two or under to apply to the program. Mothers are not required to be Christian but must respect the Christian values that are core to Every Good Gift’s mission and commit to our substance-free policy.

Mothers do not need previous work experience to apply to the program. We only ask that mothers bring a willingness to learn, a sense of initiative, and an openness to trust in God’s providential care. If you have had difficulty finding employment, experienced jobs that didn’t work, or simply want to find reliable work that you’ll enjoy, we want to hear from you!

Job training is an opportunity mothers have to learn marketable skills in a close knit, supportive community. Every Good Gift employs women to create handcrafted gift baskets, accessories, and housewares for our customers throughout the Philadelphia region. Through this hands-on experience, employees graduate with work history, references, practical handicraft skills, and professional skills in collaboration, time management, leadership, and adaptability.

Every Good Gift offers a peaceful and supportive environment for our employees to build job skills while safe, reliable childcare is on hand. Mothers will be around other mothers, will learn job and parenting skills, and will have an opportunity to grow their relationship with God.

Additional information on the length of the job training program will be provided as part of the application process. Mothers will need to commit a sufficient amount of time to the program to gain its benefits.
